Pakistan will play India in three friendly matches in the United Kingdom in July depending on government clearance, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) confirmed.

PFF marketing director Sardar Naveed said an agreement had been reached with the All India Football Federation and the dates for the three-match series are most probably 6-18 July.
The series against India was planned after the tour to Palestine was postponed indefinitely due to visa issues. Pakistan were supposed to play the return leg of the bi-lateral series in Palestine after Palestine had played in Pakistan earlier in the year.
“The series against India will go ahead once their federation gets the clearance from their government,” Naveed said while talking to NDTV.
The proposed cities where the matches are most likely to be played are London, Manchester and Birmingham. Naveed said TouchSky Sports was helping the PFF fund this series which will give the players some much needed international exposure.
Naveed said the proposed three-match series against India will serve as good practice for Pakistan’s World Cup qualifiers. Pakistan will be up against Lebanon if they make it to the second round after playing Bangladesh in the first round.
Pakistan will play their first round World Cup qualifier in Dhaka on June 29 while their second qualifier will be in Lahore on July 3.
The team is also scheduled to play two practice matches with the national teams of Dubai and Qatar after which they plan to go to the United Kingdom.
