Pakistan Air Force (PAF) beat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) 23-19 in the opening match of the 10th National Men’s Netball Championship-2011 at the Qayyum Sports Complex here on Thursday.
In the four other matches played on the first day, Police, Pakistan Army, Punjab and Sindh emerged victorious.
Police thrashed Fata 36-5, Army overpowered KP 32-13, Punjab edged out Wapda 1-0 while Sindh outclassed the PAF 23-17.
The championship organised by the KP Netball Association under the supervision of Pakistan Netball Association features ten teams: Army, Police, PAF, Wapda, Sindh, Punjab, KP, Balochistan, Islamabad and Fata.— Agencies
